The Gallery outsources packing and shipping. We will assist customers by obtaining shipping quotes from the best shippers in the area. Quotes will include the cost of packing, shipping, insurance and any extraordinary the cost of any extraordinary shipping requests. It is then up to customers to select the shipper that best meets their needs. Any items that are damaged during shipment will be covered under insurance and is handled directly between the shipper and the customer. No refunds are available for items damaged during shipping.

Standing six foot two inches tall, Walter Wyman Lancaster won’t need a ladder to reach to reach the top of just about any canvas he is painting, in fact, sometimes reaching down towards the bottom of the artwork can be more challenging.  In the end, the results are the creation of exceptional abstract paintings. 

 

Wyman was born and raised in California and worked for many years as a General Building Contractor.  After relocating to Palm Springs, California and creating a business in art installation, while working as the lead art placement coordinator for Colin Fisher Studios, one of the Valley’s leading art and design galleries, he developed an interest in art.  Studying the works of renowned abstract artists of the 19th and 20th Century, such as Richard Dibenkorn, Franz Kline, Clifford Still and Lee Krasner, he became excited with the prospect of creating his own works of art. 

 

As a self-taught artist, Wyman has developed a style of painting that is more refined than naïve and bears the sophistication of many of the artists that have influenced his work.  Since he began painting, his works can be found in a number of private collections and are highly praised by collectors and art lovers alike. 

 

As an artist, Wyman is never afraid to try anything and everything.  He believes it is often necessary to simply jump in and “let things happen organically”.  This sense of “letting go” is what helps to make his artwork speak for itself, requiring little explanation or appearing contrived.  There is an elegance and sense of serenity about his work and like his personality is neither intimidating or chaotic.
