STEVEN FADER

Artist Steven Fader was born and raised in Brooklyn new york.  fascinated with art at an early age, he found himself completely absorbed in painting and drawing.  However, when the time came to pursue a career, he chose to go into business instead of art.  his creativity manifested itself in designing junior sportswear and founding his own company, Fadar, inc.

After retiring from business, Steven's passion for art was rekindled.

"I am drawn to bright, bold colors.  acrylics offer a kaleidoscope of colors that resonate with me.  much of my inspiration comes from pop art, geometrics with hard edges, and 3d shapes.  The play between transparent, florescent, and opaque intrigues me."

in his creative process, Steven uses large saws and tools to cut and shape PLEXIGLAS AND ACRYLICS, HIS MATERIALS OF CHOICE. The different shapes he creates are fused using a hypodermic needle.  the images he incorporates into his sculptural pieces are digitally manipulated photographs that are laser printed onto the acrylic segments he uses.  the result is brilliantly executed wall sculptures that are clever, colorful, multi-dimensional, and sometimes whimsical AND CONVEY EMOTION AND LIGHT.

STEVEN FADER'S WORKS HAVE BEEN SHOWN AT THE JANSSEN ARTSPACE AND HAVE BEEN A PART OF THE CALIFORNIA DESERT ARTS COUNCIL.  HE HAS ALSO BEEN ACCEPTED INTO THE "THE OTHER ART FAIR" IN LOS ANGELES, A DISTINCT HONOR.
